Meet Michael J. Jumber, DMD

Dr Michael Jumber's beaches dental practice was founded by his father, Dr. Joseph Jumber, in 1961. The family left Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1960 for his father to work for the State of Florida Prison System in Ocala. Michael and his parents traveled the state deciding upon Jacksonville Beach to establish a dental practice and family roots. Dr. Joseph Jumber became a world renowned dentist, writing books on advanced dental treatments and lecturing throughout the United States.

At age 15, Michael was introduced to the dental profession by his father and set his career goals to dentistry. While working in his father's dental office as a dental lab technician fabricating crowns and dentures, he observed patient care over his father's shoulder. This valuable experience enabled Michael to graduate in the top 10 percent of his class from the University of Pittsburgh in 1976. Both Dr. Joe and Dr. Mike, as staff and patient's call them, worked together for 11 years until Dr. Joe passed away at the age of 62.

Dr. Mike has continued to carry on the "Jumber Tradition" of caring, quality patient care at the beaches since 1961. Dr. Mike is a member of the American Dental Association, the Northeast District Dental Association, the Jacksonville Dental Association, past delegate to the Florida Dental Association from the NE District and past president of the Puritan Dental Study Club. He holds a Fellowship in the lnternational Congress of Oral lmplantologist. He is a member of Doctors of Oral Conscious Sedation.

Dr. Mike and his staff are committed to excellence in patient care and it starts with listening to the patient. As the patient's needs and desires are determined, coupled with a complete oral evaluation, an oral health driven treatment plan will be presented. In addition to performing all aspects of family dental care from 3 to 103 years of age, Dr. Mike offers life saving oral cancer screening and sleep appliances. He has been placing dental implants since 1988 and with the use of lasers, many procedures can be performed without incisions and sutures.

We welcome you to come and experience being a part of our dental family.
